Chocolate Oat Recovery Shake
A smoothie that feels naughty, but is just so nice. All the goods to help recover after a sweaty ‘new year, new you’ work out. Carbs from the mighty oat to replenish your glycogen levels, plant protein to restore the muscles, banana for potassium and cauli for an extra vitamin/fibre boost (sub for ice if you want to simplify). Not to mention the fair trade cocoa packs her with a good dose of antioxidants. What’s not to like?
The ingredients
● 1 cup Otis Oat M!lk, the Chocolate One
● 1 serve // 30g vanilla or chocolate plant protein
● 1 frozen banana, sliced
● ½-1 cup frozen cauliflower
● Pinch salt
● Optional: 1 tbsp cocoa (for an extra chocolate hit) & 1 tbsp chia seeds (for a healthy fat boost)
Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Pro tip: add the liquid first, followed by the powders then the frozen fruit/veg for optimal blending :)
Pour up and enjoy!
