Hey Laura, can you tell us who you are and where we can find you?

My name is Laura Bougourd, I’m from Simply Organic NZ. We’ve been open for 5 and a half years, serving our Tauranga Community. Plus we ship Nationwide!

 

What does organic mean to you?

I live and breathe this lifestyle so working in this industry goes hand in hand with my values, my views, and my beliefs.

 

Why are organic principles so important to the future state of food?
 
Food grown to organic specification not only contains higher levels of nutrients, it avoids the use of GMOS, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, and insecticides which are not only harmful to us but harmful to our environment and our soil. For everyone to be living a healthier life, we should be implementing these practices to protect ourselves and future generations.

 

What do you love most about the Simply Organic community?

Getting to meet likeminded people who are as passionate about this industry as I am.

 

What are the big exciting things Simply Organic is focused on this year?

Expanding our network of local growers who supply the store with fresh product. Our main aim when we opened the store was to support our growers and their families. We have made some deep and meaningful connections over the years and we look forward to making even more. We are also expanding the range of products and services we offer online so watch this space!
